01.
Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy
I work with children and young people in a warm, supportive space where they can feel safe to explore what feels difficult. My work is paced and developmentally sensitive, shaped by the young person’s emotional world, relationships, and wider context.
When words are hard to find, I may use creative and expressive ways of working, including play, art, and movement. Drawing on experience across private practice, schools, children’s centres, and NHS services, my aim is to support emotional understanding, resilience, and healthier ways of relating over time.
02.
Working with Parents
Working alongside parents is a central part of my practice. I see parents as key partners in supporting a child’s emotional development, and I aim to create a space that is thoughtful, respectful, and collaborative. My approach is grounded in acceptance, curiosity, and empathy, helping strengthen communication and family relationships.
I place a strong emphasis on psychoeducation, supporting parents to better understand child development, behaviour, and emotional needs. Drawing on well-established parenting approaches, I tailor guidance to each family’s context, supporting emotional resilience and helping families feel more confident and connected.
03.
Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy
I work in an integrative way, with the therapeutic relationship at the centre of the work. I offer a confidential and supportive space where clients can take time to explore what feels difficult, at a pace that feels manageable, and with respect for their individual experiences and values.
My approach is informed by humanistic, psychodynamic, and other relational perspectives, alongside evidence-based practice. Rather than following a fixed model, I work flexibly and collaboratively, shaping the work around each person’s needs. The aim is to support greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and meaningful change over time.
04.
Goal-Oriented and Strengths-Based Psychotherapy
Alongside exploratory and relational work, I also offer a more goal-oriented approach when this feels helpful. This draws on evidence-based frameworks such as CBT, CFT, and ACT, and includes psychoeducation to support understanding of emotional patterns, behaviours, and difficulties. Goals are developed collaboratively, with attention to each person’s strengths, values, and circumstances.
This way of working is practical and supportive rather than prescriptive. I aim to help clients build on what is already working, develop new ways of coping, and apply these insights in everyday life. The focus is on creating meaningful, sustainable change while remaining attentive to the emotional and relational aspects of the work.
05.
Mental Health Evaluations and Reports
I provide psychological evaluations for individuals, families, and organisations, offering a thoughtful and collaborative space to understand difficulties, strengths, and needs. My approach is careful and contextual, drawing on experience from counselling, psychotherapy, and work alongside multidisciplinary professionals when appropriate.
I also prepare psychological reports, observations, and assessments to support specific concerns, including educational, clinical, and organisational contexts. These are written with clarity and care, with the aim of offering meaningful understanding and practical recommendations that can be used by clients, families, and professionals to support next steps.
