About
My Background and Qualifications
I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with extensive training and experience across clinical, community, and educational settings.
My training includes Humanistic Integrative Counselling at CPPD in the UK, a course accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Reflective Therapeutic Practice from Middlesex University, with a strong emphasis on action research and reflective practice, and an MSc in Psychological Sciences from Brunel University, accredited by the British Psychological Society. I am currently completing doctoral training in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy.
Alongside formal qualifications, my work is informed by ongoing professional development in areas including CBT-informed approaches, neurodiversity, and psychological wellbeing across the lifespan. I am a registered and accredited member of the BACP (MBACP Accred) and hold Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the BPS.
I work in private practice with adults and young people, offering a client-centred and compassionate space to explore difficulties, reflect, and move towards greater emotional stability and understanding. Alongside my private work, I collaborate with mental health organisations and multidisciplinary teams to support psychological wellbeing in the community.
Since 2018, I have worked across a range of settings, including children’s centres, schools, and NHS services. This includes work within NHS CAMHS, supporting families through therapeutic work delivered in children’s centres and GP practices, and NHS IAPT services, working with adults in a structured, goal-oriented way. Throughout this work, I have collaborated closely with clinical psychologists, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide thoughtful and tailored support.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am Chief Executive and Clinical Lead of Chizuk, a health and wellbeing organisation focused on prevention, education, and community-based support. Chizuk works alongside the NHS, local GP practices, and local authorities to promote wellbeing and strengthen community resilience.
My Values and Philosophy
I believe that every person has inherent worth and the capacity for growth. My work is grounded in kindness, respect, and collaboration, and I aim to offer a space where people feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and fully themselves.
Authenticity and openness are central to how I work. I support clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement, approaching difficulties with care, curiosity, and compassion. I see therapy as a shared process, where understanding develops through relationship and reflection.
I place strong value on psychoeducation and self-knowledge. Gaining a clearer understanding of ourselves and our patterns can bring relief, clarity, and choice. Where helpful, I encourage mindful awareness and reflection as ways of developing emotional resilience and a deeper sense of balance.
My practice is informed by cultural awareness and sensitivity. I respect the social, cultural, and personal contexts that shape each individual’s experience, and I am committed to working in an inclusive and thoughtful way.
I also believe that growth often involves challenge as well as care. Therapy can offer a space to strengthen inner resources, explore new perspectives, and move towards a more meaningful and grounded way of living.
